About the Artist

I am a traditional artist, and storytelling is vital to my work. My skills lie in life drawing, inking, and visual communication. I focus on character design, comics, and drawing from life. I love working with folk tales and historical pieces, reinventing stories, as well as writing my own tales to illustrate, animate, or otherwise bring to life (I recently fell in love with puppet making).

For me, the physical process and act of creating something is more important than the outcome. Art doesn’t exist to be sellable or commercial; it doesn’t have to be beautiful and polished in order for it to hold value- that’s not the point of making.

It’s so much more important to have a valuable process that you gain something from. How something comes to exist is integral to its very being, as that’s what gives it it’s story.
